群発頭痛症例　NO３９　一回目の施術から発作消失

副院長の鈴木です。今回は一回の施術で群発期が終わったケースを紹介します

40代　男性　埼玉県

・３０代に発症し１０年以上ずっと苦しめられている。いつもであれば春先に群発期が訪れるはずだが今回は初めて冬に来た。
痛みは右、発作は１日に１～２回で夜間就寝中に多い。群発期が始まると１カ月続く。
もうすぐ忘年会シーズン。お酒を飲めば発作が起きるのは分かっているものの、お得意さんの手前飲まないワケにはいかず何とかしたいと来院されました。

昔はイミグランを使用し効いていたが副作用が怖いのでなるべく使わないようにしており、最近は市販の薬で耐えている。
目の奥の痛み、鼻水が出る、痛む時期があると完全に群発頭痛の症状。
また、いつもは鍼灸院に通い全身メンテナンスをするのだが事情によりしばらくその鍼灸院に行けなくなり首肩コリが辛くなってきた。
初回の来院時は群発期に入って１０日前後。その間は毎晩１,２時間ほど夜間発作に耐えていた。

［経過］
・全身調整と痛みの出る右側を特に重点的に施術。デスクワーカーのため非常に首肩背中にかけてコリが強くなっていました。
施術後はかなり全身スッキリしていらっしゃったようです。

そして初回の施術から１週間後、再び来院していただいた時には来院してすぐに、「１週間痛みが出ませんでしたよ先生」と大変喜んでいらっしゃいました。
例年であればあと２週間は地獄の痛みが続いていたわけですからその喜びもうかがい知れます。
２回目の施術も初回と同じように行いました。

その後の施術は年末の忙しさもありすこし間が空くことになりましたが、１回の施術で痛みが出なくなったことにより痛みに怯えず過ごせるその安心感は大きいのではないかと思います。

ただし、それでもお酒は発作のキーになりかねないので気を付けて下さいとお互い再確認し合いました。

Male in 40’s Saitama

· It has been suffering for over 10 years since onset in the 30s. If it is usual, it should be in spring early spring but this time for the first time in winter.
Pains are right, seizures are often 1 to 2 times per day during the night at bedtime. It lasts one month when the cluster begins.
A year-end party season soon. I know that if I drink alcohol I know that a seizure will occur, but I did not want to drink in front of the beneficiaries and I wanted to manage somehow.

In the past, I used imigran and it worked but because I am afraid of side effects, I try not to use it as much as possible, and recently I endure with a commercially available medicine.
Pain in the back of my eyes, runny nose, when there is a painful period I completely complain of cluster headache.
Also, I usually go to the acupuncture hospital and do whole-body maintenance, but due to the circumstances I can not go to the acupuncture hospital for a while and my neck shoulder stiffness has become hotter.
At the first visit, it took about 10 days after entering the swarm. In the meantime, I had to endure a night attack for about 1 or 2 hours every night.

Treatment course
· Treatment of whole body adjustment and pain on the right side with particular emphasis. Because of the desk worker the stiffness was strongly strengthened on the neck shoulder back.
It seems that the whole body was refreshed considerably after treatment.

And one week after the first treatment, when I got back to the hospital again, I was very pleased that “I did not feel pain for a week” as soon as I came to the hospital.
As we have been having pain in hell for another two weeks in a typical year, that joy can be known as well.
The second treatment was done the same way as the first time.

After that, I was busy at the end of the year and it was busy a little, but I think that the sense of security that you can spend without being afraid of pain by being out of pain due to one treatment is great.

However, since sake can still be a key to seizure, we reconfirmed each other again.
